Receptionist
The hotel industry is currently also strongly affected by the shortage of skilled workers.
Theright hotel software therefore offers clear advantages for quickly training new staff as well as career changers. The guest is king, but so are the employees. Many industries are affected by the shortage of skilled workers, tourism in particular.
The struggle for qualified employees is great, and the shortage of apprentices is drastic. In addition, high fluctuation is commonplace in the hotel industry, especially in seasonal businesses. Discussions with hotel companies show again and again that they experience a great relief with software programs. A powerful and intuitive hotel management program is therefore a clear advantage for training new staff or career changers as quickly as possible.
In two weeks to the reception
Sigrid Daum currently works as a receptionist at Hotel Gartner in Dorf Tirol. Prior to this position, she was a receptionist at the Seehotel Ambach in Kaltern, but had not completed any special training for this job. The South Tyrolean originally studied translation studies, was looking for a career change and found it in the hotel industry. Both Hotel Gartner and Seehotel Ambach have been using the hotel software ASA HOTEL for quite some time. This allowed Sigrid Daum to quickly learn the job of a receptionist without any special additional training, continuing education or courses. "I didn't know the software beforehand and started working with the system two weeks before starting work," she says. Those 14 days were enough to get started in her new job as a receptionist, and the basics of the program were quickly acquired. "I was amazed at how easily it worked," says Sigrid. She also hears again and again from her colleagues how easy the software is to use.
Train new employees
The Tyrolean casual luxury hotel NIDUM on the Seefeld Plateau has had similar experiences. A good two years ago, the hotel switched to ASA. Within a few days, the new hotel management program was installed, put into operation and new employees were trained. "We have a receptionist with us from outside the industry. We were able to train him in ASA HOTEL in a very short time," reports Bernhard Brand, management assistant at NIDUM.
More efficiency in everyday hotel life
This is also confirmed by Alexandra Reiter (pictured) from Neubergerhof in Filzmoos, where ASA HOTEL has already been used for years: "With the easy-to-use software, new employees or career changers can work very quickly, which brings clear advantages from the hotel's point of view." In addition, ASA HOTEL facilitates the workflow in everyday hotel life in general. "Of course, hotel staff who think along are irreplaceable, however, thanks to the software, fewer mistakes happen and we can work more efficiently," says Reiter.
With ASA HOTEL more possibilities
This was precisely the goal behind the development of ASA HOTEL. "From the very beginning, it was important to us to develop an intuitive, but also powerful and comprehensive system that could be operated quickly and in a user-friendly manner even with little prior knowledge," explains Barbara Spitaler, Managing Director of ASA. "Nowadays, the processes and work steps in hotel operations must be carried out efficiently in order to meet the demands and wishes of the guests," emphasizes Spitaler. From the inquiry and booking to the check-in process and the hotel stay as well as special customer requests to invoicing and post-processing: all steps are read in, managed and evaluated by the software. The automatic capture of data thus significantly reduces the workload in administration, so that employees have more time for the guests. "The processes at the reception desk and in the office should take place in the shortest possible time without complications," says Spitaler.
